Foxlow, sister restaurant of famous London steakhouse Hawksmoor, is launching a new plant-based menu for November to celebrate World Vegan Day. The new menu will be available at their Soho, Clerkenwell, Balham and Chiswick branches from 1st November.
Dishes will include roast acorn squash pie with gravy, spice-roasted cauliflower with chickpeas, spinach & curried aubergine sauce, and aubergine ‘steak’ with mushrooms, onions & vegan béarnaise.
Although they’re by no means a vegan restaurant, Foxlow say “we try to do things the right way – not because it’s trendy and cool or because we’re natural born tree-huggers, but because it feels like the right thing to do and inevitably makes for tastier food”.
They celebrate fresh, healthy and seasonal produce and support sustainable and independent producers where possible. They source most of their ingredients from the UK to minimising environmental impact, and even compost food leftovers to provide energy for the National Grid.
